Description
The Australian Government is planning a future High Speed Rail (HSR) network to connect Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and regional communities across the east coast of Australia.The Authority is the Australian Government’s principal adviser on the development of HSR. Its purpose is to develop a nationally integrated HSR network, connecting cities and key regional centres, enhancing Australia’s long-term rail investment through policy development, national coordination, and strategic planning.This is a once-in-a-generation project that is expected to require a blend of Australian expertise in major infrastructure delivery and international experience from those who successfully develop and operate high speed rail networks. Successful proponents for this Project will likely combine Australia’s proven capability and skills with specialist expertise from those who deliver HSR systems internationally.Area Package 1 (AP1) covers the design and construction of all works in the geographical area including tunnelling, track infrastructure, and tunnel fit out works for the Ourimbah to Berowra section of the Project. Area Package 1 also includes the design and construction of the Central Coast Station, including the surrounding precinct and interchange.Area Package 3 (AP3) includes the design and construction of all works in the geographical area including tunnelling, track infrastructure, and tunnel fit out works for the Berowra to Sydney Central section of the Project.
