Works under the Framework comprises of civil engineering & building work associated with the construction of new and refurbishment of existing electricity substation sites within NGED's electrical distribution network. Civils works will frequently be carried out in a "live" substation environment.
Typically, but not exclusively, covering construction of new substations, construction of new buildings, modification or alteration to existing buildings, foundations, fencing, interceptors, drainage, roads, trenching, general excavation and cable ducts.
The scope also extends to general building maintenance associated with roof repairs, redecoration, joinery, guttering, glazing, trench cover replacement, door or gate installation and replacement.
It may also entail use of specialist techniques associated with tasks related to environmental protection of electrical substations from extreme weather conditions such as flooding, high winds, high humidity, or any such criteria likely to adversely affect NGED's electrical infrastructure.
This Framework Lot covers the geographical NGED network zones of Redruth, Bodmin.
