Commercial Waste Zone Midtown North and Manhattan Southwest Implementation
Description
To provide commercial waste hauling services for the Midtown North and/or Manhattan Southwest Commercial Waste Zones (CWZ). Services include Refuse, Recycling and Organic Waste collection, transport and removal from commercial establishments.
This RFP is being issued for one award in the Midtown North zone and one award in the Manhattan Southwest zone (two awards in total). DSNY is seeking appropriately experienced and qualified firms to perform a full range of commercial waste collection, transport, removal, and disposal services in either or both the Midtown North and Manhattan Southwest zones.
Deadline to Submit Questions Regarding the RFP: May 13, 2026
Hand-carried Proposals may be delivered to the aforementioned address ONLY between the hours of 9:00AM-4:30PM, Mondays through Fridays, excluding holidays observed by the Department. Please leave extra time to pass through the security checkpoint at the entrance to the building. Proposers are responsible for informing any commercial delivery service, if used, of all delivery
requirements and for ensuring that the required address information appears on the outer wrapper or envelope used by such service (see Section V.A.6). The Department will not provide confirmation of receipt of a Proposal, except at the request of the Proposer.
Proposals received after the Proposal Due Date and Time are late and will not be accepted by the Department. Proposers should plan accordingly to ensure that their proposals are submitted to the
Department prior to the Proposal Due Date and Time.
