Das Gesundheitsamt der Kreisverwaltung Neuwied befindet sich in der Ringstraße in Neuwied. Das Bestandsgebäude ist stark abgängig und nicht erweiterungsfähig, eine Aufstockung ist aus statischer Sicht nicht möglich. Daher plant der Kreis Neuwied einen Ersatzneubau, der auf einem kreiseigenen Grundstück im Industriegebiet von Neuwied, neben dem Gebäude der Abfallwirtschaft Landkreis Neuwied AöR errichtet werden soll. Um die erforderliche Anzahl an Parkplätzen für Mitarbeiter und Besucher abzubilden, ist auf dem Grundstück zudem ein Parkgebäude geplant. In Abstimmung mit den zukünftigen Nutzern ist das Parkgebäude ggfls. zuerst zu errichten. Die erforderliche Fachplanung HSL wird hier ausgeschrieben.
