Aninver Development Partners SL is currently preparing a competitive proposal for an upcoming consulting assignment financed by the African Development Bank Group in South Africa. We are seeking a qualified Data and Analytics Expert to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals for this initiative. The overarching objective of the assignment is to enhance institutional data systems and analytical capabilities within the financial sector in South Africa, contributing to improved transparency, monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced data visualization tools and automated reporting mechanisms. Working closely with key stakeholders, the expert will transform complex datasets into actionable insights, ensuring seamless integration with existing technical architectures. Objectives of the assignment

• Design and implement robust data and analytics solutions tailored to financial sector requirements.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualization tools to facilitate performance monitoring.
• Improve data governance, quality assurance, and reporting standards across the targeted systems.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity-building support to local stakeholders on data utilization.

Scope of work

• Assess current data infrastructure, workflows, and reporting mechanisms within the sector.
• Design comprehensive dashboard frameworks and analytical models for financial data tracking.
• Develop and deploy interactive dashboards utilizing industry-standard business intelligence platforms.
• Integrate disparate data sources to ensure a unified and reliable reporting ecosystem.
• Conduct user testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of deployed analytics solutions.
• Deliver training sessions and documentation to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer to local counterparts.

Your role as Data and Analytics Expert

• Lead the data and analytics workstream throughout the implementation of the assignment.
• Develop dynamic dashboards using Power BI or Tableau tailored to financial sector data systems.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design system architectures and data pipelines.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security standards are maintained across all analytical outputs.
• Translate complex financial datasets into clear, actionable visualizations and regular progress reports.
• Engage with institutional partners and project stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings.
• Contribute expert inputs to project deliverables, status reports, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven experience in dashboard development (Power BI / Tableau) with financial sector data systems

Desirable

• Expertise in SDD systems design is highly desirable
• Expertise in SDD systems design and implementation.
• Prior professional experience working on projects funded by the African Development Bank Group or similar international financial institutions.
• Previous working experience in South Africa or the broader Southern African region.

An analytical problem-solver with deep expertise in financial data visualization and system design, eager to leverage advanced BI tools to drive institutional development in South Africa.
