  • Review evaluation tools and background documents to familiarize with specific agricultural and M&E terminology.
  • Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during fieldwork, community meetings, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Translate qualitative session transcripts, reports, and relevant project documentation as needed.
  • Support the field team in contextualizing questions to ensure clarity and cultural relevance for respondents.
  • Assist in the verification of translated data to maintain consistency across quantitative and qualitative datasets.

Your role as Intérprete(s)/traductor(es) (Interpreters/Translators)

  • Execute interpretation duties during field missions across the designated project areas in the country.
  • Translate research instruments, focus group guides, and interview protocols accurately.
  • Provide reliable written translations of qualitative notes and summaries for the evaluation report.
  • Collaborate closely with data collectors and evaluators to clarify nuances in local responses.
  • Adhere to scheduling and fieldwork logistics agreed upon with the core evaluation team.

Requirements

Desirable

  • Previous experience supporting international agency evaluations, preferably with the FAO or similar organizations.
