Major repair, reconstruction, change of purpose and conservation-restoration works of an existing administrative building - immovable cultural asset into a school, with ID 68134.408.272.4 and major repair of a building with ID 68134.408.272.9, located in UPL I for school / Plot with ID 68134.408.272/, block 140, area Poduyane - Center, Oborishte district - SO, Sofia city, Oborishte str. No. 44

The project envisages a major repair and reconstruction of all above-ground floors of the building. The basement - semi-underground floor of the building will not be reconstructed, retaining its function and use as an archive of the Sofia Municipality administration. Access to the basement will be from the north entrance of the building towards "Oborishte" street. During the reconstruction of the existing building, the light walls made of aluminum profiles with glazing, stud walls made of plasterboard on a metal structure or aerated concrete, additionally built in the original classrooms and corridors, will be removed. The openings made for doors in the longitudinal walls forming the corridor will be filled with aerated concrete masonry. New internal partition walls will be made of plasterboard on an aluminum structure. The construction boards in dry rooms are intended to be made of standard plasterboard, and in wet rooms with hydrophobic plasterboard. The project provides for conservation and restoration repair activities to prevent destructive activities on the facades of the building. It is planned to restore the damaged facade plasters, decorative plaster elements, and stone cladding on the facades of the building, on the fence, and on the single-story building at the corner of "Oborishte" street and "Prof. Giovanni Gori" street. The bricked-up window openings on the west facade of the building will be broken. The facade joinery will be replaced with new wooden joinery with double glazing, with divisions according to the project in the "Conservation and Restoration" part and in accordance with opinion No. 33-NN-592/03.08.2016 of the Ministry of Culture. Due to the status of the building declared as a single architectural and construction immovable cultural asset, to achieve the energy efficiency requirements, a pre-wall cladding of plasterboard with mineral wool filling is planned to be installed on the external enclosing walls, the thickness of which is consistent with the project in the "Energy Efficiency" part. The roof of the building will be inspected for compromised sections, part of the wooden rafters will be replaced, the waterproofing membrane will be completely replaced, and the roof tile cladding will be rearranged. Vertical communication in the building is carried out by means of an internal centrally located two-flight staircase with long flights, a landing, and a wide opening in which an elevator is installed to ensure accessible environment to all floor levels of the building. For the evacuation of students from the classrooms on the floors, the construction of a second steel four-flight evacuation staircase is planned, developed in detail in the project for the "Structural Constructions" part. The new staircase reaches the basement floor, providing access to the schoolyard with sports fields in addition to evacuation. The building is planned to accommodate 20 classrooms, two computer rooms (each for 14 students), premises for administrative management and teaching staff, premises for the healthcare sector, a library and information service center, sanitary facilities for men and women, and a sanitary facility for people with disabilities. The maximum number of students to be educated in the building is 510. The functional content of the service building (ID KKCR 68134.408.272.9) is a buffet with a worktop, sink, and sanitary unit for staff. The built-up area of the service building is 13.32 m².
