Purpose The National Research and Development Agency Japan Atomic Energy Agency (hereinafter referred to as "the Agency") is developing a radiation measurement system for use within the buildings of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. This project is to purchase an omnidirectional radiation detector that detects gamma rays in a high radiation environment. 3. Specifications of purchased items 3.1. Deliverables (1) Omnidirectional radiation detector: 1 set Model 80581, high-dose rate tetrahedral detector manufactured by C&A (equivalent acceptable) ※Detailed detector requirements are in section 3.2. (2) Operation Manual: 1 set (3) Performance Test Report: 1 set 3.2. Detector Specifications The omnidirectional radiation detector to be delivered shall be equivalent to the high-dose rate tetrahedral detector Model 80581 (manufactured by C&A). The detailed requirements for the detector are as follows: 1) The detector shall contain 16 GFAG scintillators, each 1 mm x 1 mm x 1 mm. 2) The sensor part shall have a shape with 16 GFAG scintillators arranged at the vertices and at the 3 equal division points of each edge of a tetrahedron with a side length of approximately 40 mm. 3) SiPMs shall be attached to each scintillator as the photodetector element. 4) The shielding material shall be copper tungsten. 5) The radiation detector shall be capable of power supply and data communication via a single USB cable. 6) A shared library shall be provided for controlling the radiation detector and acquiring data. It shall be possible to acquire spectral information and voltage information for each detection unit every second by connecting to the radiation detector via USB and using functions within the shared library. 7) Even if one of the multiple detection units fails and cannot measure, radiation measurement information can still be acquired from the other detection units. 8) The radiation detector shall operate stably for 10 hours or more when powered. 2 9) The size shall be within 110 (W) x 120 (D) x 130 (H) mm (excluding protrusions). 10) The weight shall be 700 g or less. 4.
