Відповідно до ст.23 Закону України Про реабілітацію осіб з інвалідністю в Україні, особа з інвалідністю (законний представник недієздатної особи з інвалідністю, дитини з інвалідністю) зобов’язана брати участь у виборі та погоджувати призначення конкретних технічних та інших засобів реабілітації, виробів медичного призначення, реабілітаційних послуг і санаторно-курортного лікування тощо в межах її індивідуальної програми реабілітації у порядку, визначеному Кабінетом Міністрів України.
