Проектното предложение „Враца – чист и зелен град” е насочено към прилагане на мерки за озеленяване в градската среда на гр. Враца, вкл. реализиране на приоритетни инвестиции в растителни видове с най-висока степен на ефективност по отношение улавянето на ФПЧ10 и пречистването на въздуха по естествен път, с цел намаляване на вторичното разрешаване и повишаване качеството на атмосферния въздух (КАВ). Целта е да се подобри КАВ чрез намаляване наднормените нива на ФПЧ 10 на територията на Община Враца, която е с нарушено КАВ по този показател в периода 2017-2021 г. Фокусът на проекта е насочен към благоустрояване на зелени площи, представляващи „кални петна”, с растителни видове с най-висока степен на ефективност по отношение улавянето на ФПЧ и пречистването на въздуха по естествен път, за да се защити здравето и благосъстоянието на гражданите от свързани с околната среда рискове.
