Inter-municipal Actions to Support the Internationalization of Businesses in Western Athens

The subject of the contract is the development of "horizontal" services for the expansion, support and dissemination of Entrepreneurship in Western Athens, with the aim of upgrading the capabilities of businesses, supporting the development of sustainable competitive advantages and strengthening them with an emphasis on internationalization and access to international markets and networks. The Project titled "Inter-municipal Actions to Support the Internationalization of Businesses in Western Athens" utilizes the positive results of a previous similar Project of the Programming Period 2014-2020, improves, complements and enriches the primarily horizontal services, upgrades their content and expands the thematic portfolio of business missions and B2B meetings, selectively adding activities concerning thematic forms of tourism and culture, including gastronomy, health and well-being, the creative economy, etc., which constitute new parameters of the spatial strategy of Western Athens, within the framework of the new spatial strategy of the Programming Period 2021-2027. At the same time, it enables very small and small businesses, which are found to have a lack of organization and know-how for access to international markets and participation in international sales networks, to participate in the Project's services, gradually "building" an outward-oriented organizational and operational model.
