Insurance of helicopters owned by GDGP-MVR

The subject of the designated position is aviation insurance for a period of 12 months for 3 A 109E helicopters and 1 AW 139 helicopter, including third-party liability during flight operations and all aviation activities, and passenger liability, including clause AVN 74. The helicopter insurance covers damages from insured events occurring on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, Europe, and the maritime and air spaces of the Republic of Bulgaria and Europe, arising from the use of the aircraft and all aviation activities. The four helicopters are registered as state aircraft and are owned by the Main Directorate "Border Police" - Ministry of Interior. They are equipped with modern flight-navigation equipment, ensuring optimal conditions for the crew, reliable piloting and navigation during day and night flights, possess a type certificate for airworthiness, and meet the requirements for flights under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), as well as the requirements for Category A operations, according to JAR OPS 3.480(1). The helicopters operate over water and more than 25 km from land, and are used for special police missions in all weather conditions, day and night: border patrol and surveillance; training flights; test flights of material; special tasks. The AW139 helicopter is also used for search and rescue operations, including external load operations, as well as parachute jumps. The helicopters are not used for commercial flights.
