Reconstruction of the water supply network in the village of Cherencha

The main objective of the designated position is to improve the reliability, efficiency, and quality of water supply in the village of Cherencha in the Municipality of Shumen through the comprehensive reconstruction of the existing water supply networks. The implementation of the designated position aims to reduce water losses, ensure normally permissible operating pressures by zoning the water supply systems, improve fire safety coverage by constructing and situating fire hydrants, as well as bringing the water supply infrastructure in line with current technical and regulatory requirements. The implementation of the activities will contribute to sustainable water resource management, improvement of the living environment, and enhancement of the quality of the water supply service for the population of the village of Cherencha. Object group and category: fourth group according to Art. 5, para. 6, item 4, item 4.2, item 4.2.1 of PRVVCPRS, second category according to Art. 137, para. 1, item 2, letter 'b' of ZUT. Scope of construction and installation works: Within the designated position, the following main groups of construction and installation works shall be performed, according to the approved investment project and the bill of quantities: 1. Earthworks: • Manual and mechanized excavation for water supply routes and facilities; • Shoring and bracing of excavations; • Loading and transport of excavated material; • Preparation of bedding for pipelines; • Backfilling and compaction of soil. 2. Pavement restoration: • Dismantling and restoration of asphalt pavements; • Dismantling and restoration of cobblestone and crushed stone pavements; • Restoration of sidewalks and adjacent areas. 3. Water supply networks: • Supply and installation of polyethylene water pipes (PE RC) of various diameters; • Installation of fittings, tees, elbows, and reducers; • Construction of main and distribution water supply branches; • Execution of building water supply connections and tapping saddles; • Installation of steel sections where necessary. 4. Valves and equipment: • Supply and installation of shut-off, control, and safety valves; • Installation of air valves, vacuum breakers, check valves, and filters; • Construction and equipping of chambers for shut-off and control valves; • Construction of chambers with pressure regulators. 5. Construction and concrete works: • Formwork, reinforcement, and concrete works for chambers and facilities; • Execution of foundations, walls, slabs, and bases; • Laying of protective and insulating layers. 6. Specialized activities: • Installation of fire hydrants and fire-fighting equipment; • Disinfection of the water supply network; • Hydraulic tests and trials of pipelines; • Commissioning. 7. Temporary and ancillary activities: • Temporary traffic management; • Securing the construction site; • Construction of temporary facilities where necessary; • Cleaning and restoration of affected areas. Quantity and volume: The quantity and volume of construction and installation works are approximate and include the reconstruction and construction of the water supply network with diameters, building water supply connections, chambers with pressure regulators, fire hydrants, excavation and restoration works, according to the approved investment project and the bill of quantities for the designated position. The exact quantities and volume of construction and installation works are determined in the approved investment project and the attached bill of quantities for the designated position and are an integral part of the tender documentation. The construction activities for designated position No. 1 cover the following main types of work: - excavation works – 13,380 m3; - sand bedding – 4,108 m3; - gravel bedding – 12,615 m3; - installation of PE water pipes, fittings, and valves – 13,960 m; - installation of steel pipes – 2 m; - dismantling and restoration of asphalt pavement – 8,896 m2; - dismantling and restoration of crushed stone pavement – 206.41 m2; - formwork; - reinforcement; - concrete works; - installation of steel reinforcement.
