Description
It is the intent of the New York City Law Department (Law Department) to enter into sole source negotiations with Convergint Technologies LLC (Convergint), a certified Lenel & Exacq dealer, with the expectation that Convergint will be awarded a contract with the Law Department to supply certain equipment (NVRs, associated servers, cameras, associated licenses), and installation services for a security system already in use at one of the Law Department site locations. Convergint currently provides support and maintenance services for a complex security system at the location, which services include running an integrated NEC Express Cluster WAN solution with a number of Lenel applications and Exacq IP Video. The system is integrated bi-directionally with other custom databases used by the Law Department. Convergint developed the integration and scripts that resulted in the fully integrated system. The Department believes that it is necessary to continue with the same vendor because of its knowledge and familiarity with the customized system, so as to assure the continued smooth operation of the system.
