The client is commissioned by the City of Duisburg, among other things, with the creation of additional spatial capacity for open all-day care at elementary schools in the City of Duisburg. This capacity expansion is being carried out against the background of the future legal entitlement to an open all-day place for elementary school children. Within this program, expansion buildings are being erected at 15 school locations, which are to be built as extensions, conversions, or standalone buildings. The expansion buildings typically include rooms for open all-day care along with ancillary rooms, a kitchen, and a canteen. Additionally, further classrooms are being built at individual locations. At the FÖS Alfred-Adler location relevant to this tender, an extension to the existing school building is planned. The extension is planned as a 2-story new building that includes a canteen and a kitchen with ancillary rooms. Additionally, rooms for open all-day care and further classrooms are planned. The gross floor area is intended to be approximately 1,030 m2. Prior to the measure, clearing work must be carried out. An expansion of the schoolyard areas is also to be carried out. After the construction of the expansion building, the adjacent areas will be integrated with the new building, and the opened-up areas will be closed off again. System construction methods or (partially) prefabricated construction methods are conceivable as possible planning and construction concepts for timely completion and should be evaluated for economic applicability during the further planning phase.
