Im Rahmen dieses Forschungsvorhabens sollen Verfahren der Prüfung des Strahlenschutzes an Ultrakurzpuls-Lasern (UKPL) im Hinblick auf Durchführbarkeit und Effizienz im praktischen Strahlenschutz untersucht und evaluiert werden. Dazu sollen bekannte sowie alternative Methoden zur Prüfung des Strahlenschutzes von UKPL messtechnisch untersucht und bezüglich Aufwand und Nutzen bewertet werden. Hierbei sind insbesondere Verfahren, bei denen eine Röntgenröhre zur Substitution der Röntgenstrahlung des UKPL eingesetzt wird, sowie solche, bei denen die Prüfung als Qualifizierung der Umhausung eines UKPL durchgeführt wird, zu berücksichtigen. Zudem sind die Einsatz- und Randbedingungen für die jeweils untersuchten Prüfverfahren zu bestimmen, um die notwendige Konservativität bei der Strahlenschutzbewertung sicherzustellen. Das Forschungsvorhaben soll dazu dienen, weniger aufwändige und kostengünstigere Prüfverfahren an UKPL zu ermitteln, damit diese den behördlichen Vollzug vereinfachen.
