3D intraoral scanners for Lapland Wellbeing Services' dental care

Lapland Wellbeing Services is requesting tenders for 3D intraoral scanners needed for dental care, in accordance with this tender request and its appendices. The equipment offered must be suitable for digital scanning of intraoral structures, teeth, and gums. The equipment will be used for treatment documentation and planning, design of orthodontic appliances and commissioning of auxiliary devices, as well as for prosthetics and restorative care. The procurement is divided into three (3) lots. The tenderer must submit a tender for all lots and their sub-areas as follows: POS 1 / 3D Intraoral Scanners A and B * POS 1.1 / Scanner package A * POS 1.2 / Scanner package B The tenderer must offer intraoral scanners for sub-areas POS 1.1 (A) and POS 1.2 (B) that are products of the same manufacturer. The scanners are not required to be the same model, but they must belong to the same software and/or cloud ecosystem, ensuring they are fully compatible with each other. The design and operating software used in both sub-areas must be the same to ensure compatibility, unified work processes, and a consistent user experience throughout Lapland Wellbeing Services' dental care. The procurement is a total procurement, for which one (1) supplier that has submitted an accepted tender will be selected. The agreement will enter into force when both parties have signed it. The contract period begins on 1.6.2026 (target) and is valid until 31.5.2028. The agreement includes two (2) one (1)-year option periods for the period 1.6.2028–31.5.2029 and 1.6.2029–31.5.2030. The contracting authority will notify the supplier in writing of the use of an option period at least six (6) months before the expiry of the current contract or option period. The procurement allows for the acquisition of up to 20 scanner packages. The aim is to acquire 5-7 devices immediately upon the agreement entering into force. During the contract period, the wellbeing services county will allocate funds for the procurements according to this tender request each year separately. If funds are not granted, procurements according to this tender request will not be made in that year. Consumables required for the devices will be procured according to the number of procedures performed with the devices. The number of procedures in the entire Lapland wellbeing services county is approximately 2,000 – 2,500 procedures per year. The procurement quantities indicated in the tender request are estimates and do not constitute a binding purchase obligation for the contracting authority. The contracting authority does not commit to any minimum purchases during the contract period. The offered products must comply with the directly binding regulations of the European Union, Finnish laws and regulations, and the orders issued by authorities. The tender is binding and must be prepared entirely in Finnish.
