Construction Details (1) Construction Name LED lighting renovation work for the Exchange Building and 3 other buildings (2) Construction Location RIKEN Yokohama Campus (3) Construction Overview This work involves replacing the aging lighting fixtures in the Exchange Building, Central NMR Building, West NMR Building, and Research Exchange and Support Facility. Existing lighting ballasts have been discontinued since March 2019, and fluorescent lamps will be regulated for production and import/export from 2027, making parts replacement difficult. Therefore, they will be replaced with LED lighting fixtures, which are expected to have energy-saving effects. 1) Electrical Equipment Work - Lighting Equipment: Fluorescent lighting fixtures will be removed and replaced with LED lighting fixtures. (4) Construction Period From July 31, 2026 to March 31, 2027 2. Competitive Bidding Qualifications The following conditions must be met. (1) Must not fall under the provisions of Article 5 of the RIKEN Contract Administration Regulations. (2) Must have been certified for competitive bidding qualifications for "Electrical Work" in "Construction Work" for fiscal year 2026 by RIKEN or the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. (For parties for whom commencement of rehabilitation proceedings has been filed based on the Corporate Reorganization Act (Act No. 172 of 1952) or commencement of rehabilitation proceedings has been filed based on the Civil Rehabilitation Act (Act No. 225 of 1999), a re-examination of general competitive bidding qualifications as separately determined by RIKEN must have been obtained after the decision to commence proceedings.) (4) Must have the following construction experience, completed and delivered as the prime contractor since fiscal year 2011. (Experience as a member of a joint venture is limited to those with a capital contribution ratio of 20% or more.) - Experience in lighting equipment renovation work (including replacement of lighting fixtures and wiring) for public institutions, independent administrative agencies, etc., in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Public Building Construction. - Experience in replacing fluorescent lighting fixtures with LED lighting fixtures (including dimming). - Experience in concurrent renovation work (work performed while occupants are present) of research facilities (excluding humanities and social sciences) with a total area of 1,800 square meters or more, including private facilities. * The above requirements are not necessarily required to be met simultaneously in a single construction project. For proof of experience, in addition to the contract (Collins is acceptable), attach documents such as special specifications (including construction overview), equipment lists, system diagrams, and floor plans that can confirm the facility's purpose and area.
