Invitation for Prequalification
The Government of the Azerbaijan Republic has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and a credit from the International Development Association (World Bank). It intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under two contracts,"Lot 1, AHP 3, CW 2011-1, 4 Laning of the Baku-Shamakhi-Muganli Road km 44.6 to 67.5", and "Lot 2, AHP 3, CW 2011-2, 4 Laning of the Baku-Shamakhi-Muganli Road km 67.5 to 91.0"
Azeryolservice ASC invites contractors and/or firms to prequalify forthe "4 Laning of the Baku-Shamakhi-Muganli Road km 44.6 to 67.5 and km 67.5 to 91.0" project.
The project will comprise of two works contracts upgrading the road between Baku and Shamakhi; a 22.9km section and an adjacent 23.5 km section. The existing recently reconstructed two-lane road will be extended to a four-lane carriageway with media within the existing right of way.
The Invitation for Bids is expected to be issued in December 2012.
Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (dated May 2004, revised October 2006 and May 2010) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
A complete set of prequalification documents in English language may be purchased by interested firms starting from 5 September 2012 on thesubmission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 150 AZN (one hundred and fifty) or 190 US$. Documents are available between 10:00 and 17:00 local time. The method of payment will be cash or by bank transfer to:
