Matters Concerning Consumption Tax: When determining the successful bid, the successful bid price shall be the amount obtained by adding 10% of the amount written on the bid form to that amount (if there is a fraction of less than 1 yen, it will be rounded down). Therefore, bidders must write on their bid form the amount equivalent to 100/110 of the estimated price (including consumption tax), regardless of whether they are a taxable or exempt business for consumption tax. 14. Construction Performance Evaluation: For this construction work, if the contract amount exceeds 5 million yen (including tax), it will be subject to construction performance evaluation as stipulated in Article 7 of the Act on Promotion of Quality Assurance in Public Works (Act No. 18 of 2005).
