Prosjektdivisjonen ved Park- og frilufts-prosjekter skal anskaffe entreprenør til etablering av ny kyststi i Bestumkilen. Kyststien skal delvis bygges som bordgang på peler og delvis som grussti over private og offentlige eide eiendommer. Planområdet for kyststien omfatter et areal fra avslutning av kyststi ved Maxbo utenfor Drammensveien 214 og forbi Drammensveien 198. Kyststien er ca. 480 meter lang og vil være ca. 2 meter bred med breddeutvidelse for benker og opphold noen utvalgte steder. Det er ikke høy kompleksitet, men prosjektet omfatter strenge krav til håndtering av forurensede masser, arbeid i vann, og koordinering med aktivitet hos nærliggende virksomheter innen båt- og friluftsliv.    Rådgiver Pir2 har gjennomført detaljprosjektering i 2026. Tillatelse fra statsforvalter må foreligge før man kan søke om igangsettingstillatelse for arbeider i sjø. Forhåndsuttalelse fra VAV er innhentet. BYM bekoster og sender søknad om igangsettingstillatelse og søknad ferdigattest.
