Das Land Hessen und die Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen beabsichtigen die Errichtung eines neuen Institutsgebäudes für den Fachbereich Psychologie auf dem Campus der Kultur- und Geisteswissenschaften. Ziel des Verhandlungsverfahrens nach § 17 VgV ist die Vergabe von Ingenieurleistungen: Tagwerksplanung (gem. § 51 HOAI 2021). Es soll ein Gebäude mit rund. 4.000 m² BGF mit bis zu vier Vollgeschossen ohne Untergeschoss für Forschung und Lehre entstehen. Mitarbeiter bzw. Forscher und Forscherinnen werden unter anderem in physiopsychischen Laboren und insbesondere auch mit medizinischen Großgeräten (z. B. einem MRT, EEG-Kabinen) arbeiten und lehren. Mit dem Neubau werden die notwendigen Voraussetzungen für neue Forschungsinfrastrukturen sowie Bürofläche für 11 Professuren und deren vielfältige Arbeitsgruppen geschaffen.
