AZ Groeninge is een groot regionaal ziekenhuis in Kortrijk dat een brede waaier aan medische zorg en gespecialiseerde behandelingen aanbiedt. Het ziekenhuis werkt daarbij met verschillende medische en ondersteunende diensten. Er is op heden een zeer nauw samenwerkingsverband tussen AZ Groeninge en Sint Jozefskliniek Izegem. Op heden heeft elk van beide ziekenhuizen een eigen magazijn. De scope van deze aanbesteding is een nieuw WMS-software voor het magazijn in AZ Groeninge. Dit magazijn maakt momenteel gebruik van SAP WM voor het aansturen van zijn magazijn. Gezien de support-situatie hiervoor wijzigt eind 2028 ten einde loopt, is AZ Groeninge op zoek naar een nieuwe IT oplossing. Deze nieuwe oplossing moet dezelfde lading dekken als het huidige SAP WM. Naast de magazijnen in de ziekenhuizen zijn er ook 2 externe magazijnen (beheerd door 3PL partijen) waar men de overflow van pallets opslaat. Het nieuwe WMS moet ook de werking met deze externe magazijnen aankunnen via een transferfunctie van voorraad. Deze functie mag pragmatisch aangepakt worden op algemene locatie, niet op detail locatie, waarvan men in functie van de behoefte bepaalde pallets gaat opvragen. Het magazijn in AZ Groeninge bestaat uit klassieke standaard opslagcomponenten (pallet en legborden) alsook uit 3 verticale liftmodules van leverancier Kardex. De scope van de gevraagde software zal gaan vanaf de levering van goederen op de loskades, tot opslag en tot en met de uitlevering in een “leeg/vol” berging op de afdelingen (het beheer van de leeg/vol berging is ook in scope). De aansturing van de verticale liftmodules in machinetaal maakt deel uit van de scope van de gevraagde software.
