Procurement and Delivery of Generic Laboratory Equipment & Parts, Including Maintenance

The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in the Netherlands is seeking a single supplier to provide generic laboratory equipment, necessary spare parts, and associated maintenance services. This procurement aims to ensure the continuous operation of RIVM's daily laboratory activities, which are crucial for scientific research, quality control, and diagnostic work. The equipment must be generic, meaning it should consist of commonly used, EU-approved laboratory apparatus readily available in the Netherlands and suitable for diverse laboratory settings, including chemical, biological, and physical environments. All supplied equipment must comply with relevant regulations applicable to laboratories in general and specific research requirements. The selected supplier will be responsible for delivering a broad range of generic lab equipment and parts, along with multi-year maintenance contracts. A key requirement is the supplier's ability to act as a broker, sourcing and delivering requested items promptly if they cannot be supplied directly from their own inventory. This includes equipment for standard laboratory tasks such as measurement, analysis, separation techniques, and sample preparation. RIVM has opted for framework agreements for both the procurement and maintenance of this generic laboratory equipment, to be awarded to a single contractor. Both framework agreements will have an initial term of two years, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2025. Each agreement includes two one-year extension options, exercisable by RIVM with at least three months' notice prior to the expiry of the current contract period. Further agreements will be established per category group stemming from these framework agreements.
