General requirements and wishes The municipality of Barneveld expects the tenderer to perform the audit in a high-quality, independent, and future-oriented manner. The assignment includes at least the audit of the annual accounts, work related to the Single Information Single Audit (SiSa), issuing legally required statements and partial statements, and fulfilling the natural advisory function. This includes, among other things, contributing to the expertise of the audit committee and the municipal council. The tenderer must signal risks that the municipality may face, both in relation to the prepared annual accounts and in response to external developments that may affect municipal operations. Findings and recommendations should be constructively critical, reported in understandable Dutch, and be solution-oriented, tailored, and in a clear format. The municipality values a collaborative attitude, a broad perspective on municipal developments, and continuous vigilance regarding risks and opportunities for improvement in processes and accountability. The tenderer is also expected to be sufficiently involved with municipalities in general, so that the administrative support and advice genuinely add value to the municipality. The contract will commence on May 1, 2026, and end on April 30, 2028 (financial years 2026, 2027, and 2028) with the possibility of six one-year extensions (financial years 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032, 2033, and 2034). Thus, a total of up to nine (9) years.
