The city of Würselen intends to renovate and expand the historic station building "Alter Bahnhof" at Bahnhofstraße 165 in Würselen. The subject of the VgV procedure is the awarding of planning services for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) according to § 55 HOAI, service phases 4-9. The MEP planning includes the technical equipment for the renovation and conversion of the former station building, the renovation of the adjacent cinema and the planned two-story new building after the demolition of the existing workshop buildings. The existing building is classified as particularly worthy of preservation and will be comprehensively modernized. The goal of the overall project is the creation of a children's, youth, family and cultural center that provides a broad, intergenerational offering. The technical building equipment is to be planned in accordance with the requirements for energy efficiency, sustainability, accessibility and operational safety. The planning and implementation of the project will be carried out in compliance with the relevant funding, procurement and sustainability regulations. The project will be realized with funding from the following programs: - Multifund program EFRE/JTF NRW - SJK 2022 - Renovation of municipal facilities in the areas of sport, youth and culture - Urban development funding The total completion of the renovation and expansion measures for the "Alten Bahnhof" is planned by May 2028.
