A study in report form is to be prepared, documenting the following work contents: First, a presentation of generally suitable recycling processes for the plastic fractions commonly used in wiring harnesses and an overview of methods for assessing the condition of materials at the end of their life are required. The study will then focus on the design of process chains for pre-sorting, shredding, post-sorting, and material processing, as well as forecasts on the influence of additives and fillers on the recycling processes. Finally, recommendations for action based on the analyses and evaluations of the individual process steps and respective process chains are to be made, both with regard to the recycling of current wiring harnesses from the vehicle fleet and with regard to design-for-recycling of future wiring harnesses.
