Construction of a canteen at Kandern Primary School - Building Design Planning - Open Procedure according to VgV

The City of Kandern intends to renovate Kandern Primary School and build a canteen to ensure and further develop all-day care places in the sense of flexible afternoon supervision. The planning is based on the determined need for care places and the objective of continuous two-stream education. The school site consists of a listed main building (built in 1910) and an extension from 2002. The existing building primarily involves functional adjustments, while the extension is supplemented and reorganized. The core of the project is the new construction of a canteen in timber frame construction with an associated kitchen. The canteen will be barrier-free and connected to the existing building complex, designed for two-shift operation. Additionally, a spacious, projecting roof will be provided, which functionally extends the adjacent schoolyard and serves as a weather-protected recreational area. In the course of the renovation measures, fire safety adjustments, optimization of escape routes, and measures to improve lighting and the quality of stay will also be carried out. Preliminary planning (service phases 1-2) has already been completed. The subject of the present tender procedure according to the Public Procurement Regulations (VgV) are the further planning services from service phase 3 onwards.
