Procurement of Fragmentation Radar
About This Opportunity
TranslatedThe Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (FMI) has entered into a contract with Nordic Radar Solutions ApS (NRS) for the acquisition of a Warhead Fragment Measurement System (WFMS). This system is a fragmentation radar designed for the immediate establishment of a joint defence ballistic testing capability. The procurement aims to facilitate essential ammunition testing, including the qualification of new ammunition types and deliveries. Furthermore, fragmentation data is crucial for enabling indirect fire support systems to more effectively match appropriate ammunition types and quantities to specific targets. Consequently, this acquisition is directly linked to ongoing and future ammunition procurements, as well as the capability to generate firing and lethality data, thereby enhancing the Danish Defence's combat power. The contract was awarded directly to NRS without a prior tender process, based on a sole supplier situation in accordance with Article 28, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph e of the defence and security directive, as further detailed below. This sole-source award acknowledges the unique capabilities or specific circumstances necessitating a direct procurement from NRS for this specialized fragmentation radar system, ensuring the rapid deployment of critical testing and data generation capabilities for the Danish Armed Forces.
This is a supplies contract in the security and defense and general supplies sectors, with a focus on Security Services. Located in Denmark, Europe, this opportunity is open to firms and consortiums.

Description
28, stk. 1, litra e, jf. nærmere nedenfor.
