"AQUA MONTIS" Torrent regulation in mountain basins within the responsibility area of the Volos Forestry Directorate and within the boundaries of the Thessaly Water District (EL08)

The subject of the contract to be awarded includes: i. the preparation by the contractor and submission, to the competent approving body of the Contracting Authority, for approval, of the final forest engineering study for the regulation of torrents and mountain catchment basins, which will concern the works described in point (ii) below (hereinafter the "Study"). During the preparation of the Study within the framework of the execution of the Contract and in accordance with the instructions of the competent Supervising Authority, the final positions and interventions to be approved may differ from the Approved Preliminary Study of the Project regarding (a) their number (b) their dimensions and location in any area of responsibility of the Volos Forestry Directorate and (c) the type of interventions (technical, landscaping or mixed works). In any case, any differentiation may not result in an increase in the total budget of the project. ii. the execution of works for flood protection of the mountain catchment basins in the study area based on the approved preliminary Study and specifically: • construction of concrete gravity dams • construction of rubble masonry gravity dams • construction of groynes • construction of gabion revetment walls • construction of concrete revetment walls • construction of Irish crossings • creation of passage zones • Shaping – cleaning of stream beds
