Description

The World Bank invites proposals from qualified data collection firms to conduct a national mixed-methods assessment of childcare supply and demand in Tunisia, as part of a global multi-country study under the World Bank's Investing in Childcare initiative. The selected firm will be responsible for: Adapting survey instruments to the Tunisian context and coordinating CAPI programming using Survey Solutions Developing a sampling plan in coordination with the Institut National de la Statistique (INS) Conducting field testing of all quantitative and qualitative instruments Implementing a nationally representative household demand-side survey and a supply-side survey of childcare providers Conducting focus group discussions with mothers, fathers, parents of enrolled children, childcare workers, and domestic workers Conducting key informant interviews with government representatives, sector experts, and childcare providers Delivering fully labelled, cleaned datasets in Stata format and verbatim transcriptions of all qualitative data in Arabic or French and English Conducting a desk review of Tunisia's childcare regulatory and institutional landscape Providing technical assistance to inform the development of a regulatory framework for home-based childcare services.
