Automatic pipettor for flow cytometry laboratory

HUS Group is requesting bids for an automatic pipettor for the flow cytometry workstation of the HUS Diagnostic Center (HUS DGK) Department of Specialized Hematology. The HUS DGK flow cytometry laboratory performs approximately 8,000 flow cytometry tests annually, including diagnostic and staging tests for hemato-lymphatic malignancies, monitoring/residual disease tests for the aforementioned diseases, immunological tests, determination of CD34-positive stem cells, and fetomaternal hemorrhage detection tests. The samples tested are mainly blood, bone marrow, tissue, and cerebrospinal fluid samples. Each sample undergoes 1-10 different antibody stainings, and each staining requires approximately 4-12 different antibodies. Some samples are washed before staining, and the majority of samples undergo red blood cell lysis after staining. Additionally, some samples undergo intracellular staining. In such cases, the sample is fixed with a fixation solution after surface staining, and then the cells are made permeable with another solution. Some antibody combinations require the addition of an extra reagent to the antibody staining. Currently, all sample processing is done manually in the laboratory. The purpose of the automatic pipettor is to automate sample processing at the workstation, i.e., sample washing, antibody staining, red blood cell lysis, and intracellular staining. The goal is also to eliminate potential sources of error associated with manual work, such as pipetting incorrect reagents or sample mix-ups. To this end, the automatic pipettor must ensure traceability of samples and reagents. The laboratory uses Becton Dickinson's FACSLyric™ flow cytometers, and the automatic pipettor to be procured must be compatible with these devices in certain aspects (e.g., suitability of secondary tubes). The objective is to acquire a device that performs sample processing with minimal user intervention, i.e., a "walk-away" device. The procurement includes the delivery and installation of the device, as well as maintenance services directly related to the device and device-specific reagents, cleaning solutions, and other consumables. The minimum and other requirements concerning the device, maintenance services, and consumables are detailed in this request for proposals and its appendices. This is a comprehensive procurement that has not been divided into lots, as the device, its associated maintenance services, and consumables form an inseparable functional unit. Maintenance services and consumables are device-specific, and dividing the procurement into lots is not technically or functionally appropriate. The device to be procured will be ordered and delivered during 2026 in accordance with the terms of this request for proposals and the draft equipment agreement attached hereto. For maintenance services after the warranty period, the client will separately decide on concluding a maintenance agreement of indefinite duration at a maintenance level that meets the client's needs, in accordance with the terms specified in this request for proposals and the attached draft maintenance agreement. A contract for device-specific consumables will be concluded for a fixed term of four (4) years, after which the contract will continue indefinitely.
