Emergency agreement regarding icebreaking in Limfjorden west of Aalborg (Railway Bridge)

In accordance with Executive Order No. 969 of July 25, 2017, concerning emergency preparedness for icebreaking, it has been decided that the icebreaking task in four designated Danish waters will be addressed through a public-private partnership between the defense sector and the maritime industry via emergency agreements. The four emergency areas include: • Waters south of Funen (not subject to this tender) • Limfjord west of Aalborg (Railway Bridge) • Limfjord from Aalborg (Railway Bridge) to Hals Barre (not subject to this tender) • Smålandsfarvandet (not subject to this tender). The emergency agreements stipulate that private operators entering into an emergency contract with the state are obliged to maintain an icebreaking readiness that can depart for the emergency area within a 24-hour notice and arrive within an additional 12 hours. The emergency contracts will be concluded by the Ministry of Defense's Material and Procurement Agency (FMI).
