Opdrachtgever: Provincie Utrecht
Zoals bij de aanleiding beschreven is de aard van de opdracht tweeledig:
1. er moeten blijvend te bewaren archieven worden overgebracht, en;
2. er moeten archieven rechtmatig worden vernietigd, dan wel op een vernietigingsjaar in de toekomst worden gezet.
Hier komt voor een deel bij dat nader onderzocht moet worden, wat er met archieven moet gebeuren. Dit geldt voor een paar kleinere archieven, zoals de provinciale adviescommissies en het openbaar lichaam voor de vuilstort in Maarsbergen. Het doel van de opdracht is dat na afloop van de opdracht:
1. alle te bewaren archieven zijn overgebracht naar Het Utrechts Archief (HUA);
2. alle dossiers die volgens de Provinciale selectielijst archieven (Provisa) voor 2031 voor vernietiging in aanmerking komen, zijn vernietigd;
3. de vernietigingsverklaringen voor dossiers met een langere bewaartermijn dan 2030 gereed zijn gemaakt voor vernietiging in het jaar dat dit volgens de selectielijst moet.
