BIM planning for ÜBW Troisdorf

The project "Überwerfungsbauwerk Troisdorf" involves the new construction of a single-track, grade-separated connection between line 2695 (S-Bahn line S13 to Bonn-Oberkassel) and line 2651 (Siegstrecke) at Troisdorf station. The objective is to create a grade-free divergence by building a single-track overpass from/to line 2651 to/from lines 2695 and 2324. This will improve operational quality for freight transport on the Cologne-Siegen route with increasing passenger train numbers (S13). Additionally, route interlocks on line 2651 will be reduced during passenger train diversions on the right bank of the Rhine (crossing of lines 2651-2695-2324). A single-track overpass is to be constructed, which will diverge from/converge to line 2651 in a central position between the tracks. The central position allows for greater operational flexibility, enabling the overpass to be used in the opposite direction without route conflicts. A newly to be constructed switch trapezoid before platform 2 will allow the return of opposing track movements to the regular track. The grade-level line crossing 2651/2695 can currently be traversed at 80 km/h. This speed is to be maintained for the single-track overpass as well. The ramp gradient is to be planned with the steepest possible slope, as the extent of the overpass is to be kept small. The scope of the tender includes the trades of OP and TWP civil engineering structures, technical track equipment planning (OLA / LST / 50Hz) OP VA, and surveying.
