Assistant Project Manager for Ground & Foundation, Pier G T5 PBI, Arlanda

Swedavia is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager. The assignment will be linked to the T5 PBI program, which carries out projects at Arlanda. Swedavia AB is currently undertaking and planning an expansion of Arlanda. The overarching T5 PBI program, an abbreviation for (P)ier, (B)aggage, and (I)ncheckning and arrivals, is in its early stages and is working to develop construction documents and decision support for future investments. Within the program is the Pier G project, which includes the Ground & Foundation sub-project. This sub-project needs to strengthen its project management staffing. The project is characterized by high complexity, and the pace will be high at times for the project to meet its delivery goals. The Assistant Project Manager will support the regular Project Manager with selected parts of the construction document project management – for example, scheduling, financial follow-up, meeting management, and review of developed project documents. The project management organization consists of about 10 technical areas plus a project engineer, scheduler, controller, BAS-P (Construction Site Safety Coordinator), and specialists. As an assistant, you must be able to see the whole picture but also have the ability to delve into details when required. The Project Manager needs to be able to discuss complex issues with you and find solutions to problems that arise. The Project Manager needs to be able to hand over tasks to you where you are familiar with construction document project management and can quickly become self-sufficient in following up on our design consultants. Swedavia holds the coordination responsibility in the project management. The assignment includes coordinating activities with the project management, developing working methods and routines, planning the project, and operationally following up on quality, time, cost, and risk management. You will also work independently to compile material and decision support. The requirements for delivered content will be adapted to different decision-making bodies. You will build good relationships with the project's contractors, designers, adjacent projects, and other stakeholders, both within and outside Swedavia. The scope of this assignment is 100%, of which 80% is on-site at Arlanda. The basic assignment applies to the construction document phase and runs from 2026-08-17 to 2028-12-31. Option: The production phase until the project's operational handover.
