BKP 224 Roofing work

Flughafen Zürich AG is constructing a new building, designated as a 'Foodhall', situated between Parking Garages 1 and 2. This structure will serve to connect the landside passenger areas. As part of this new construction project, waterproofing works will also be carried out on roofs and below ground within adjacent existing areas of Parking Garages 1 and 2, as well as in the redesigned bus terminal.

The services are intended to be awarded as a comprehensive package where possible, encompassing the following Construction Cost Breakdown (BKP) categories: BKP 222 Sheet Metal Works, BKP 223 External Lightning Protection Systems, and BKP 224 Roofing Works. Notably, the sheet metal and waterproofing works are characterized by their complexity and demanding nature. The installation areas are distributed across the extensive construction perimeter.

Below-ground waterproofing requires, in part, constructive pressure distribution and protective layers. Consequently, the works related to planning packages are tendered in lots as follows: Lot LV 089 includes external lightning protection; Lot LV 053 covers flat roof works in the Foodhall area and other smaller installation zones; Lot LV 054 comprises specialized sheet metal works in the light well area; Lot LV 055 involves flat roof works in the bus terminal area for drivable surfaces according to NPK 362; and Lot LV 056 pertains to flat roof works in the West Delivery and East Entrance areas. The project is located at Zurich Airport, focusing on infrastructure development within the airport premises.
