For the new construction of the Institute for Molecular Biology, the Bau- und Liegenschaftsbetrieb NRW is commissioning the technical building equipment (TGA) planning services for the heating, sanitary, ventilation, and cooling technology trades, as well as technical gases. Project Description: The project includes the construction of a modern laboratory building with demanding requirements for technical building equipment, especially in the area of laboratory supply and media management. With a focus on sustainability, the new building is to be certified according to the BNB system "Silver". The future institute will include premises for research and teaching, including seminar rooms, offices, and analysis workstations, as well as practical laboratories and research laboratories. Of particular note are the special rooms for housing scanning electron microscopes, animal breeding (aquariums), and climate chambers where temperature, humidity, and light can be precisely controlled for experiments. To ensure the highest level of interdisciplinary planning required, the project will be managed as a BIM project. All technical planners will be commissioned accordingly. Project Strategy: The planning services will be tendered in bundled individual contracts and will initially include performance phases 1-9 according to HOAI. Commissioning will be carried out in stages as described in the contract. Subject to the further project strategy, it is planned to consider a handover to a general contractor/developer at an appropriate time. If this approach is not approved by the ministry in the course of the HKoP process, planning will continue within the framework of individual or bundled tenders for construction execution. In the case of a general contractor/developer tender, a functional performance specification will be created, for example, and the procedure will be accompanied until the end of the familiarization phase. The commissioned planning office will also be offered the opportunity to take over quality assurance services within the scope of implementation by a general contractor/developer. Requirements for Applicants: - Demonstrable experience in planning technically demanding laboratory buildings - References in the fields of heating, sanitary, cooling technology, and technical gases - Knowledge of functional performance specifications and general contractor tendering - Confident handling of relevant standards, guidelines, and industry-specific requirements in laboratory construction (especially the use of fire dampers in laboratory exhaust air) - Technical training of employees for standard-compliant and practice-oriented planning of TGA systems, taking into account the recognized rules of technology (including VDI 6022 Category A, VDI 6023)
