Construction of the building of the Silesian Interdisciplinary Centre of Chemistry in Katowice

1) The subject of the order is the execution of construction works, including demolition, and the supply and installation of devices and equipment necessary for the execution of the order entitled "Construction of the building of the Silesian Interdisciplinary Centre of Chemistry in Katowice" – divided into the basic scope of the order (guaranteed part) and the optional scope of the order (option right), which may be executed in whole or in parts for each of the options. Details regarding the option right are included in sec. 3 of this chapter and the draft contract (appendix no. 3 to the SWZ). Basic characteristics of the facility: a) building footprint: 3,973.80 m2; b) total area: 31,001.54 m2; c) usable area: 11,029.63 m2; d) volume: 139,296.6 m3; e) building height: 33 m, f) number of storeys: 1 underground + 7 above ground. 2) The subject of the order has been divided into a basic scope and options. Details in the SWZ. 3) A detailed description of the subject of the order and its scope is defined in the technical documentation (appendix no. 2 to the SWZ), consisting of the construction design, technical design and executive design for individual sectors, and quantity surveys, and in the technical specifications for the execution and acceptance of construction works, decision no. RBDEC – 0195/2023 of the Mayor of the City of Katowice of 06.04.2023 granting permission for the demolition of the building at ul. Bankowa 12a, the building at Bankowa 12b, part of the connecting corridor to the building at ul. Bankowa 12 (along with the gymnasium and swimming pool), construction facilities and technical infrastructure, decision no. RBDEC – 0132/2024 of the Mayor of the City of Katowice of 08.03.2024 approving the construction design and granting permission for the construction of the building of the Silesian Interdisciplinary Centre of Chemistry, along with other decisions, opinions, and agreements obtained during the design work, which documents, together with the draft contract (Appendix no. 3 to the SWZ), should be considered jointly. 4) The deadline for the completion of the subject of the order (basic scope + any activated options) is up to 26 months from the date of handover of the construction site, with the reservation that: a) the execution of the Contract Subject in the scope of the part covered by option no. 1 will take place within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation, b) the execution of the Contract Subject in the scope of the part covered by option no. 2 will take place within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation, c) the execution of the Contract Subject in the scope of the part covered by option no. 3 will take place within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation, d) the execution of the Contract Subject in the scope of the part covered by option no. 4 will take place within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation, e) the execution of the Contract Subject in the scope of the part covered by option no. 5 will take place within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation. Handover of the construction site will take place within 10 working days from the date of contract conclusion. 5) The contractor will provide: a minimum of 60-month warranty for the executed construction works. The required warranty period for installed materials, devices, etc.: no shorter than the warranty provided for the works, and if the manufacturer's warranty is longer – according to the manufacturer's warranty. The warranty period is in accordance with the warranty period offered by the Contractor for the executed construction works, but not shorter than 60 months. 6) The contracting authority does not foresee awarding contracts for similar construction works within the meaning of art. 214 sec. 1 point 7) of the Pzp Act. 7) The contracting authority informs that preliminary market consultations have not been conducted. 8) The contractor whose offer is deemed most advantageous will be obliged to provide a security for the proper performance of the contract in the amount of 5% of the price for the performance of the basic order (excluding options) indicated in the Contractor's offer before concluding the contract. 9) The contractor undertakes to provide security for the proper performance of the Contract for the works covered by the option right each time, within 7 ...
