Campuskoti extension, construction of care facilities in place of existing office spaces, plumbing contract, invitation to tender The Hospital District of Southwest Finland is tendering, through a restricted procedure, and to the extent specified in the documents, the CAMPUSKOTI care home facility extension as a divided contract, where the construction contractor will act as the main contractor, the principal contractor as defined by legislation, and the contractor responsible for site management duties. The contracts mentioned below will be subcontracted to the main contract. Salo IoT Park Oy will act as the construction client during the contract period. The new care facilities will be established on the 3rd floor, wings E and F, of the Kampa building located at Salo IoT Campus. The 0th floor of the building will house secondary facilities such as staff social, storage, and maintenance rooms. The modified spaces on the 3rd floor previously served as temporary facilities for office and psychiatric outpatient care. The project scope is approximately 3,552 m² in total. The building is located at Joensuunkatu 7, 24100 Salo. In the G-wing on the 3rd floor of the same property complex, the Hospital District of Southwest Finland's care home unit Campuskoti Merihelmi has been operating for several years. The project will establish a total of 56 care apartments, each with its own bathroom. In addition to the apartments, various common areas, offices/workrooms, medication rooms, storage and waste management facilities, a distribution kitchen, general maintenance rooms, laundry and equipment maintenance rooms, and multi-purpose rooms will be built. Large glazed balconies (2 units) will be built for the care home residents, located at the ends of the building's wings. The steel-framed balconies will be founded on new foundations. Technical installations for the modification work will be carried out on all floors of the building, and these installations will also require construction work. During the contract period, the other premises of the building will be used by tenants, and contractors must take this into account in their work planning. The project aims to expand the offering of care home facilities and consolidate operations within the same property.
