Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue kilpailuttaa, rajoitetulla hankintamenettelyllä, asiakirjojen osoittamassa laajuudessa, CAMPUSKOTI hoivakotitilojen laajennuksen jaettuna urakkana, jossa rakennusurakoitsija toimii pääurakoitsijana, lainsäädännön tarkoittamana päätoteuttajana ja työmaan johtovelvollisuuksista vastaavana urakoitsijana. Alla maininnut urakat alistetaan pääurakkaan alistettuina sivu-urakoina. Salo IoT Park Oy toimii urakka-aikaisena rakennuttajana. Uudet hoivatilat perustetaan Salo IoT Campuksella sijaitsevaan Kampa-rakennuksen 3:een kerrokseen E- ja F-siipiin. Rakennuksen 0. kerrokseen sijoitetaan toissijaiset tilat kuten henkilökunnan sosiaali-, varasto-, ja huoltotiloja. Muutettavat tilat 3:ssa kerroksessa ovat aikaisemmin toimineet toimisto- ja psykiatrian hoidon vastaanoton väistötiloina. Hankkeen laajuus on yhteensä noin 3552 m². Rakennus sijaitsee osoitteella Joensuunkatu 7, 24100 Salo. Saman kiinteistömassan 3:n kerroksen G-siivessä on jo muutaman vuoden toiminut Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialueen hoivakoti yksikkö Campuskoti Merihelmi. Hankkeessa perustetaan yhteensä 56 hoiva-asuntoa, jokaisessa asunnossa on oma kylpyhuone. Asuntojen lisäksi rakennetaan erilaisia kokoontumistiloja, toimistoja/työhuoneita, lääkehuoneita, varasto- ja jätehuoltotiloja, jakelukeittiö, yleishoitotiloja, vaate- ja laitehuoltotiloja sekä monitoimitiloja. Hoivakodin asukkaille rakennetaan isokokoiset lasitetut parvekkeet (2 kpl) jotka sijaitsevat rakennuksen siipien päissä. Teräsrakenteiset parvekkeet perustetaan uusille perustuksille. Muutostöiden tekniikka-asennuksia tehdään rakennuksen kaikissa kerroksissa, asennukset edellyttävät myös rakennusteknisiä töitä. Urakan aikaan on rakennuksen muut tilat vuokralaisten käytössä ja tämän tulee urakoitsijoiden huomioida töiden suunnittelussa. Hankkeen tavoitteena on laajentaa hoivakotitilojen tarjonta ja yhdistää toiminta samaan kiinteistöön.
