Description
Workforce Development in the Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Business Supports Division, oversees the creation and delivery of curriculum to support the learning and development for Children and Family Services (CFS) staff, Caregivers and Delegated First Nations Agencies (DFNA) in Alberta. Workforce Development (WFD) works collaboratively with key stakeholders in Child Intervention and DFNA’s to provide learning and development opportunities that align with the needs and practice initiatives to prepare staff to meet the demands of their role.
WFD supports the learning and development needs of Child Intervention Practitioners (CIPs), Child Intervention Supervisors from the Ministry of Children and Family Services, and DFNA Staff and Supervisors who provide services to vulnerable children, youth and families in Alberta under the Child Youth & Family Enhancement Act. As such, reviews and recommendations are brought regularly to WFD to create or update training to meet the needs of the Ministry.
The purpose of this RFP is to secure a successful proponent to review, update, and evergreen a catalogue of existing Child Intervention training courses, including:
• Blended Delegation Training (BDT) courses; and
• Working Together for Safety (WTFS) series courses
These courses are currently in use and require updates to reflect evolving policy, practice, and adult learning approaches.
