Description The London Borough of Camden has undertaken preliminary market engagement under section 16 of the Procurement Act 2023 to inform the development of its Citizen Identity and Access Management (CIAM) strategy. The purpose of the engagement has been to improve the Council's understanding of the supplier market, available technologies, implementation approaches, commercial models and emerging practice relating to customer identity and access management. The findings from this engagement will inform the Council's strategic approach to the development of future customer identity and access management capabilities. Preliminary Market Engagement The Council has undertaken desk-based market research together with discussions with a limited number of market participants. The engagement has explored market capability and approaches relating to: • Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) • Authentication and identity verification • Passwordless authentication • Identity federation and standards • Accessibility and digital inclusion • Integration with local government systems • Implementation approaches • Commercial delivery models The Council considers that sufficient preliminary market engagement has now been undertaken.
