Description

An advanced contract award notice (ACAN) is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date and time stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. 1. Definition of the requirement: Policy on Reciprocal Procurement: the Policy on Reciprocal Procurement does not apply to this procurement. The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement for a vocational program and employment opportunity for federally sentenced offenders monitored in the community that ensures cleaning services for the co-located Parrtown Community Correctional Centre (CCC) and Saint John Parole Office. The work will involve the following: 1.1 Objectives: To provide a Cleaning Training Program that includes: • Vocational training including third party certification • On-the-job training including monitoring and employment support • Cleaning services 1.2 Tasks: *For the purpose of this document, federally sentenced offenders monitored in the community are referred to as Participants and the contractor’s proposed cleaner and trainer is referred to as Resource. a) The Supplier must establish and deliver a Cleaning Training Program in accordance with the requirements of this Statement of Work. The Program must be of a caliber, scope, and duration sufficient to enable each successful Participant to develop the skills, knowledge, and competencies required to independently perform professional cleaning services. b) The Supplier must supply a qualified Resource to provide training and on-the-job supervision to proposed offenders monitored in the communi.
