?s-Hertogenbosch staat, net als de rest van Nederland en Europa, voor een nieuwe realiteit waarin maatschappelijke weerbaarheid en veerkracht geen keuze meer zijn, maar een noodzaak. Crises volgen elkaar sneller op, worden complexer en houden langer aan. De traditionele benadering van crisisbeheersing ? waarin de overheid optreedt en burgers, bedrijven en maatschappelijke organisaties vooral ontvangers zijn van hulp, is in deze context niet langer toereikend. Er is een minshift nodig: van een overheid die problemen oplost voor de samenleving naar een overheid die samen met de samenleving werkt aan voorbereiding, reactie en herstel. Gemeente ?s-Hertogenbosch werkt aan een programmaplan dat richting geeft aan de maatschappelijke weerbaarheid en veerkracht van ?s-Hertogenbosch in de periode 2025-2027. Kerndoelen zijn het versterken van de maatschappelijke weerbaarheid, het versterken van de crisisorganisatie, het waarborgen van de continu?teit van de samenleving en de gemeentelijke organisatie en het doorbouwen aan ondersteunende stedelijke netwerken.De communicatieadviseur richt zich op het vergroten van het bewustzijn en het activeren van inwoners, ondernemers, maatschappelijke organisaties en interne organisatieonderdelen op het gebied van maatschappelijke weerbaarheid bij crises of rampen die langer duren dan 72 uur. Denk aan situaties van langdurige stroomuitval, hoogwater en cyberaanvallen.
