De Gemeente voert een aanbestedingsprocedure uit voor de aanbesteding van Communicatiecampagne Afvalinzameling. De afdeling Afvalinzameling Zoetermeer (AIZ) is verantwoordelijk voor de inzameling en verwerking van huishoudelijk afval binnen de gemeente. Het inzamelsysteem is gebaseerd op twee uitgangspunten: gebruiksgemak voor inwoners en het bevorderen van afvalscheiding en recycling. Inwoners kunnen restafval en GFT+E gescheiden aanbieden, waarbij in laagbouw gebruik wordt gemaakt van minicontainers en in gestapelde bouw van ondergrondse containers.
