El objeto del presente contrato es la gestión, en la modalidad de concesión administrativa, del servicio público consistente en la recogida, transporte y eliminación de los cadáveres de animales muertos en las explotaciones ganaderas de la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia, de las especies bovina, ovina, caprina, aviar, porcina, equina e cunícola, declarado servicio público de titularidad autonómica por el Decreto 43/2004, del 26 de febrero (DOG núm. 43, do 2 de marzo de 2004). El servicio tendrá carácter integral, comprendiendo el conjunto de operaciones de recogida, transporte, eliminación, transformación, manipulación y almacenamiento intermedio de los cadáveres de los animales muertos en las explotaciones ganaderas en todo el territorio de la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia, pertenecientes a las especies señaladas anteriormente, garantizando su eliminación conforme a la normativa vigente.
