Construction of Coconut Peat Facility for the Hope Coconut Industries Limited, Ministry of Agriculture at Charity, Essequibo Coast, Region No.2.
The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana (hereinafter called “Borrower”) has received financing (hereinafter called “funds”) from the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF), (hereinafter called “Financial Institution”), toward the cost of the Agricultural Infrastructure Development Programme (AIDP). The Borrower intends to apply a portion of the funds to eligible payments under the contract for which this IFB is issued.
The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the construction of a Coconut Peat Facility for Hope Coconut Industries Limited, Ministry of Agriculture, at Charity, Essequibo Coast, Region No.2. The construction and installation period is 12 calendar months.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures, specified in the CARICOM Development Fund guidelines for procurement.
Qualification requirements include:
Experience as a contractor in executing works and services of a similar nature for the last 3 (three) years;
Valid NIS and GRA Compliance Certificates
A Site visit and pre-bid conference shall be held on 13 June 2026, commencing at 11:00 hours at NAREI Plant Nursery Compound, Charity, Essequibo Coast Region No.2
A complete set of bidding documents on a flash Drive (in PDF) in English may be obtained at a non-refundable cost of G$5,000 by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given below. The Commencement date for the inspection/acquisition of bidding documents is 8
