- The Government of the Gambia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Gambia Inclusive and Resilience Agriculture Value Chain Development Project ( GIRAV) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract[1] for CONSTRUCTION OF 40 COMPOST CHAMBERS FOR THE WYLAF GARDENS For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.
- The Central Project Coordinating Unit (CPCU) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders or Contractors to bid for CONSTRUCTION OF 40 COMPOST CHAMBERS FOR THE WYLAF GARDENS at 14 Marina Parade Banjul where the Office is situated and all the eligible contractors with the required qualifications and experience are required to bid.
- Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” (Second Edition - February 2025) (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Central Project Coordinating Unit; Att: Mamour Alieu Jagne Project Coordinator, mamouralieu.jagne@cpcu.gm / bubacarr.jallow@girav.cpcu.gm and inspect the bidding document during office hours. 09: 00am to 16: 00pm at the address given below. - The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee[3] of GMD10,000.00. The method of payment will be Cash.[4] The document may be available both hard and soft copy upon payment of nonrefundable fee..[5]
- Bids must be delivered to the Ministry of Agriculture Procurement Office The Quadrangle Banjul on or before 21 August 2026 at 12:30pm at. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below.
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of GMD200,000.00 for Each Lot.
