Construction of Dunga Water Intake, Raw Water Pumping Station, Water Treatment Plant and Associated Facilities in Kisumu, Kenya- Works Package 2 LOT 2

The Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency (LVSWWDA), “the Employer”, has received funds from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD"), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Union Africa Infrastructure Trust Fund (AITF) and the Government of Kenya, towards the cost of the Lake Victoria Water and Sanitation (LVWATSAN) Program, and it intends to apply part of the funds to payments under the contract for Construction of Dunga Water Intake, Raw Water Pumping Station, Water Treatment Plant and Associated Facilities in Kisumu, Kenya- Works Package 2: LOT 2 The Employer intends to prequalify firms for Works which comprise of the following Components: • Construction of a new raw water intake structure in Lake Victoria at Dunga • Construction of all associated civil works for the intake and raw water pumping station. • Construction of raw water conveyance facilities between the intake and the water treatment plant. • Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of pumps, valves, pipework, electrical equipment, instrumentation, control and SCADA systems. • Construction of a new Water Treatment Plant (WTP) with a treatment capacity of approximately 48,000 m³/day. • Construction of administration, operation and maintenance facilities. • Environmental mitigation measures and all ancillary works necessary for the complete and satisfactory operation of the facilities, and other associated facilities It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in February, 2027 More information: Click here
